Testing ovulation is mostly done through urine specimen. Ovulation test allows predicting the most fertile time of the month. Ovulation Test is specifically designed to detect your LH surge. Special drug testing kits is designed for ovulation test. This test is conducted on urine specimen. Urine specimen should be collected once in day but about same time every day between 10.00 A.M to 8.00 P.M. For better results, the test should be conducted on the same time of day daily. Sample should be collected in clean, dry container and cup.
Procedure followed in conducting ovulation test is discussed below
- Dip the end of strip into urine sample for 10 seconds.
- Carefully place the LH test vertically into urine cup for 10 seconds and lay the strip on flat clean and dry surface.
- Wait for color changes. Depending upon the concentration of LH in tests, results will be appeared.
Within 5 minutes, two color brands will appear. If test brand is equal or darker then the color of control band then results is positive and if test brand is less dark then the color of control band then results are negative. This test results are 99% accurate.
