- First off you’ve got to have the proper energy in your body before you leave home. The majority golfers don’t give it a second thought. They either don’t eat at all before they leave home or they eat something that is not going to give them the long-standing energy they’re hoping for. So whether its lunch or breakfast before you leaves you need to consume a complex carbohydrate and a good protein source. This combination will necessitate the best use of your energy for the long haul.
- Get your golf swing right at address. Try to keep your back nice and straight bending from the waist with knees flexed and your rear sticking out just a little. By keeping your back flat, this allows you to turn around your spine more effortlessly.
- Back-Swing: When you get to the top of the swing, you should be ale to see the knee and the hip still in the same position as it was in the setup. For a solid straight drive, keep the shaft pointing parallel to the target line at the top of the swing and the club face similar to your left fore arm.
- Good balance comes from a smooth tempo and a nice weight shift from the top of the back swing down through the ball.
- Before every shot you play there must be a sequential order of events. First of course we have to find our golf ball. Once the ball is located we then must examine the type of lie we have, the distance to the target, the shot shape desired, the wind conditions (if any), how we're feeling that particular day, whether to play aggressively or conservatively or somewhere in between, and finally choosing the correct club for the type of shot.
